| SCENE 1 | O. Tidemann is preparing for the opening of Sesam Stasjon. He is particularly happy when he sees that that the station's first 3 guests are 3 children, as children are very welcome at the station. After bidding the children welcome to the station, he tells them to find a different place to play, as it can be dangerous near the tracks. Instead, he helps them get to the nearby playground.
He then prepares for the first train to arrive, but he discovers that his whistle doesn't work. He goes inside the station to ask Max Mekker if he can fix the whistle. Max tells him that he needs to finish his current job before he can start the next. Max ends up fixing the whistle.

Muppets | Grover climbs a mountain and counts from 1 to 10 with his own echo. When he tries to stop, it keeps on echoing. When he asks it to please stop, the echo stops. Grover thanks it. Echo: "You're welcome!" | |

SCENE 2 | Bjarne Betjent is sorting numbers in the ticket booth when Tidemann comes by and teases him about the numbers. Bjarne tells Tidemann that numbers are too important to make fun of. Tidemann asks Bjarne to help him in the kiosk, but Bjarne says he can't because he is only one person, even though he wanted to be 2, 3, 4 or even 5 different people, so he could do many different things at the same time. Tidemann decides that the kiosk then has to stay closed, despite the fact that the station will open soon. Bjarne resumes his sorting of numbers after Tidemann leaves. | |

SCENE 3 | Alfa is reading the paper while Tidemann runs around, Max fixes things and Bjarne counts. She introduces herself to the viewer and concludes that everyone is busy except her, so she has time to read the paper. She reads an article about the famous singer Leonora Dorothea Dahl, who will visit Sesam Stasjon on its opening day. Alfa is impressed as she continues to read the article. Leonora has visited every major station in the world and has performed at every one. Shortly afterwards, she starts to wonder what the "O" in O. Tidemann stands for. | |

SCENE 4 | Tidemann prepares the kiosk as he finds the opening speech and practices it. Alfa interrupts him and asks him what the "O" means, but Tidemann only reveals that it means something special. Alfa guess it stands for Otto, but Tidemann just laughs and says that that's not the case and continues to write the speech. | |

Muppets | Ernie & Bert — Ernie reads a story for Bert that he's written on his typewriter. It turns out to be a dramatic reading of the alphabet. | |
SCENE 5 | Max and Bjarne are preparing for the arrival of the first train by getting the luggage and packages ready. Bjarne hands Max a round package and a triangular package. But when Max asks for the square package, Bjarne can't find it. After looking himself, he asks the viewer for help. | |

SCENE 6 | Bjarne has found the square package on the top shelf. Tidemann hurries over to Bjarne and tells him to be careful, just as it says on the stickers. So Tidemann ends up carefully lifting it down on the counter. Bjarne then discovers it's a gift for the station from the main office. They decide to open the box, and discover a huge train cake inside. | |

SCENE 7 | The first train arrives at the station. In one of the train cars there's a marching band playing. Max hurries around to welcome the passengers as they step out of the train. Tidemann comes out and invites everyone inside the station. Meanwhile, Alfa counts the passengers and discovers that she cannot see Leonora anywhere. | |
Cartoon | A magician tries to pull a rabbit out of his hat, but instead finds the numbers 1-20, which the rabbit repeats at the end. | |
SCENE 8 | Alfa finds Leonora sleeping on the train. After waking Leonora, Alfa tells her that she really looks forward to her performance. Leonora quickly gets up and starts to prepare herself. | |
Cartoon | A girl draws herself and then a door, that she uses to leave. | |
SCENE 9 | All the guests get some of the train cake, then Leonora enters the station with a song about how grateful she is to be here. Everyone joins in the song "Vær velkommen". |
